INSIDE POLAROID
APRIL 12 - MAY 18, 2019
The Yellow Cube Gallery participated this year, in April, in the 7th edition of the month of instant photography: Expolaroid with its exhibition “INSIDE POLAROID”.
"INSIDE POLAROID" is a clever mix between young artists and artists already well anchored in the world of the Polaroid. The exhibition brought together 7 artists in total: Raul Rodrigo Diaz, Valérie Evrard, Jing Wang, Patrick Cockpit, Philippe Galanopoulos (and his project with Pierre Zanzucchi), Benoit Pernuit and Emilie Ahbahbravo.
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
This exhibition is the story of several artists who wish to show their “Inside”. The Yellow Cube Gallery offered spectators, through an exhibition collective, to have an outside look at all these different “Inside”.
The goal was to highlight the intimate character of instant photography, and to discover what can be the possible interpretations of this medium, whether by the representation of bodies, objects or the landscape.
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
The Polaroid is not only limited to a personal vision of what is represented but also to a multitude of processes of revelation, which give each photograph their own identity. According to Philippe Galanopoulos, instant photography is: “A window on the border between two worlds: inside, outside”.
