We present the works of Franco-Lebanese artists: Charles Khoury, Jing Wang, Jean-Marc Nahas, Alain Buhot, AM Shar, Simon Mhanna and Xavier Vantaggi, Emmanuel Mousset, Valérie Evrard, Ryan Eid, Les Soeurs Siamoises, Jean Robert Alcindor, Shawy Yousse.

The artists embark on their own interpretations of the themes of borders and territory through various mediums of painting, drawing and multimedia installations. Thanks to this equally diverse use of mediums, these artists allow a dialogue between the spectator, themselves and the varying introspections of the notion of borders and territory.

Charles Khoury transport us, thanks to a colorful palette and tribal shapes, beyond our modern world, to take us to an unreal world of beauty. Jing Wang explores paper, by proposing worlds navigating in poetry, and proposes a narration questioning fiction and reality. Alain Buhot questions our perception of maps to recreate new spaces, and new territories.

Jean-Marc Nahas leaves an important place to the self-portrait, and also to the work of representation of the woman and the dog. This allows him to create an introspection and build a visual identity. Each of his works is haunted by human tragedy and an obsessive report of balance. Xavier Vantaggi, work on the instability of our society and the world, by bringing new forms to sublimate everyday life, and our relationship to things. Simon Mhanna is both an artist and a gallery owner. In his work, he explores the human condition, and emphasizes intimacy.

This opening will be the driving force of a dialogue that questions the notion of cartography and the relationship to the territory through their works. The question arises all the more in view of the global pandemic situation but also of the explosion that occurred on August 4, 2020 in Beirut, which caused considerable material and immaterial damage, which systematically echoed the relationships between the individual, the space, territory and its freedom.
Beyond Borders aims to facilitate access to authentic, committed art without borders by offering this exhibition in several countries, between Europe and the East.
