JULIE NAVARRO

Julie Navarro was born in 1972, lives between Paris and the Creuse. She develops, through her paintings, sculptures, and participatory performances, a work on the perception of living things, the materiality of flows and relationships. Images and forms emerge according to his investigations, by association of ideas. Proceeding by displacement, she turns the subjects and objects of reality into poetic narratives. She searches for the materiality of the invisible, the encounter between the hidden and the manifested, the beating heart of matter.

The Center Pompidou invites her, regularly, to imagine the Extravadanse balls where she draws in the friction of energies and frictions, living stories that are embodied in the collective dance.

She was a finalist for the COAL (Art and Environment) and Contemporary Talents (Schneider Foundation) awards. and recently Laureate of the CNAP program (activating protocol work).

She is represented by Galerie Liusa Wang in Paris.
